What's on our minds

A Little Astrology

Have you found your astrologer yet? Or maybe that's not quite the right question.

Let's try that again. Have you found a way to delve a little deeper into your self—into the story of you?

Decidedly, I am a bit of an astrology enthusiast. And while I pay a lot of attention, I haven't quite learned enough to fully sort it all out on my own. And so, I turn to the experts in the field, like Alice Bell to gain insights and further my own study of it (and of me).

Throughout my 20s and 30s, I stumbled upon tools of self-reflection, such as creative writing, astrology, and tarot. Those, alongside personality archetypes, such as the Enneagram, have aided and deepened my understanding of myself and of others.

The longer I've spent in this iteration of life, it seems to me that narrative and storytelling are some of the best avenues to personal reflection, growth, and healing. It seems to me that these avenues might offer a less rigid, more compassionate way to observe ourselves, our relationships, and our lives.

So what am I getting at? If you are looking to expand your vocabulary and tools for understanding yourself and others (or are just looking for a fab astrologer), do yourself a favour and follow Alice Bell on instagram. Or better yet? Check out her substack. (The monthly horoscopes are basically not-so-mini personalized horoscopes. Well worth subscribing, imo.)
